Art and Perception: What the eye does not see

Art is not only looked at, it is perceived. Many of the works exhibited at Galería Maxó are designed to challenge the way we understand space, color and form. In particular, our 3D series and textured collages play with the viewer’s visual perception, generating depth, illusion and movement from a flat surface.

In this post we reflect on how art can stimulate not only the senses, but also the imagination. Because seeing is not always understanding… and that is precisely part of the magic.
