Techniques and materials
Maxó works mainly with mixed media: acrylic, inks, markers, collage and other materials on paper and canvas. In addition to this, there are assemblages and three-dimensional works in which he integrates real objects -such as pencils, toys or recycled elements- that come out of the plane and turn each painting into a small installation.
Another very characteristic facet of his work is three-dimensional photography, where he superimposes and cuts images to generate depth and volume. In many of these pieces, Barcelona is the main protagonist: streets, historic stores and neighborhood corners are transformed into works that allow you to take “a little piece of the city” home.
